Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information.

Effective Date: April 2026  ·  Last Updated: April 2026

Section 01

Introduction

Boston Tech Advisors ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit bostontechadvisors.com or contact us, how we use it, and what rights you have regarding your data. We are an IT consulting firm based in Boston, Massachusetts.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Ever. This policy applies to information collected through our website and related business interactions.

By using our website, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you have any questions, you can reach us at ben@bostontechadvisors.com at any time.

Section 02

Information We Collect

We collect information in two ways: information you give us directly, and information collected automatically when you use our site.

Information you provide:

  • Contact form submissions — your name, email address, company name, phone number, and message content
  • Calendly bookings — your name, email address, and meeting preferences when scheduling a consultation
  • Newsletter sign-ups — your email address if you choose to subscribe to our monthly insights

Information collected automatically:

  • Google Analytics data — pages you visit, time spent on each page, your device type, browser, and approximate geographic location (city-level). This data is anonymized and aggregated — we cannot identify you individually from it.
  • Cookies and tracking pixels from Google Analytics, Google Ads, and LinkedIn (see Section 4 for full details)
  • Basic server logs — IP address, browser type, and referring URL, retained for security and diagnostic purposes
Section 03

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect only for legitimate business purposes. Here is exactly what that means:

  • Responding to enquiries — When you contact us through our form, we use your information to respond to your question or request.
  • Scheduling consultations — Calendly booking data is used to set up and confirm your consultation appointment.
  • Sending newsletters — If you subscribed, we use your email to send our monthly IT insights email. You can unsubscribe at any time with one click.
  • Improving our website — Google Analytics data helps us understand which content is useful and how visitors navigate the site.
  • Running advertising campaigns — We use Google Ads and LinkedIn to reach potential clients. Aggregate campaign data helps us understand which efforts are effective.
  • Remarketing — We may show targeted ads to previous visitors via Google and LinkedIn remarketing platforms. These are reminders about our services, not data collection for resale.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Section 04

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help us understand how the site is used and enable our advertising to work.

Cookies we use:

  • Google Analytics (_ga, _gid, _gat) — These track anonymous usage data such as pages visited and session duration. No personally identifiable information is collected through these cookies.
  • Google Ads — Conversion tracking cookies measure when a site visit results from one of our ads, helping us understand campaign performance.
  • LinkedIn Insight Tag — LinkedIn places a cookie that allows us to see anonymized data about companies visiting our site, and to show our ads to previous visitors on LinkedIn.

How to opt out:

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process data related to your visit. Each operates under its own privacy policy, which we link to below.

  • Google Analytics — Website traffic analytics. Google receives anonymized usage data from your visit. Google Privacy Policy.
  • Google Ads — Advertising and conversion tracking. Google receives data about ad clicks and website activity resulting from our campaigns. Google Privacy Policy.
  • Calendly — Appointment scheduling. When you book a consultation, Calendly receives your name and email address and handles it per their own terms. Calendly Privacy Policy.
  • LinkedIn — We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag for analytics and retargeting. LinkedIn may receive information about your visit. LinkedIn Privacy Policy.
  • WP Engine — Our website is hosted on WP Engine, an enterprise WordPress hosting platform based in the United States. All website data is stored on their servers. WP Engine Privacy Policy.
Section 06

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers located in the United States, on WP Engine's enterprise-grade hosting infrastructure. WP Engine maintains industry-standard security controls including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), firewalls, and strict access controls.

We do not store payment information. If a financial transaction is ever required, it is processed through a separate, PCI-compliant payment provider — your card details never pass through our systems.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss. That said, no internet transmission or electronic storage system is 100% secure. If you believe your data has been compromised, please contact us immediately at ben@bostontechadvisors.com.

Section 07

  • Right to correction — You can ask us to correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Right to deletion — You can ask us to delete your personal information. We will comply unless we are legally required to retain it.
  • Right to opt out of marketing — Every marketing email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Clicking it removes you from our list immediately, no questions asked.
Section 08
